Our Mandate:

Windsor Printmaker’s Forum, founded by local artists in 1987, has established a working space for area artists to create and produce their own original, limited edition prints.

As a non-profit arts organization and an artist-run production center, we offer facilities in lithography, intaglio, relief, silkscreen and letterpress printing, giving area artists/printmakers a place to continue their creative development in the fine arts printmaking medium.
Windsor Printmaker’s Forum wants to encourage technical and artistic excellence in printmaking by providing the best possible equipment and instruction, and by maintaining professional standards of production, documentation and presentation of prints.

Windsor Printmaker’s Forum provides educational programming through courses, workshops and lectures to members, the artistic community and the public. A gallery space on the premises offers monthly exhibits of contemporary printmaking. An active guest artist program gives the studio artists an opportunity to work with artists from other parts of the country and abroad, through long-term and short-term residencies.

Windsor Printmaker’s Forum is a source of information for area artists with regard to regional, national and international exhibitions and deadlines, as well as providing a sales outlet for prints produced by artists working at the printmaking studio.

Supporters:

The Windsor Printmaker’s Forum has been a vital regional resource for practicing artists for over twenty years. The importance of WPF in the arts community is recognized by the public through its committed membership. The merit of WPF’s exhibition programme and guest artist series is measured through the generous support of public donors. Recently, the Ontario Arts Council and the Ontario Trillium Foundation awarded WPF substantial funding for the Sense of Place exhibit to tour in public galleries across Ontario and Canada.
